Hi, I’m Ann —

I understand the weight nonprofit leaders carry - the passion, the pressure, and the constant pull in a dozen directions.

I didn’t start my career in the nonprofit world — I found it through volunteering, and something just clicked. I saw the power of community, of people coming together to meet real needs. And thankfully, others saw something in me, too. They encouraged me to pursue this work professionally… and I’ve never looked back.

Over the past 25+ years, I’ve served in roles as Executive Director to Foundation Director and CEO across three mission-drive organizations. All three were at a critical crossroads when I joined them, and my leadership led to success in sustainability, capacity, efficiency, and impact.

I’ve led high-performing teams, strengthened boards, developed systems from the ground up, and raised millions of dollars - including successful capital campaigns and grant strategies that helped nonprofits grow their capacity and deepens their impact.  

I’ve also been where many leaders find themselves now - stretched thin, managing complexity with limited resources, and wondering if all the effort is truly moving the mission forward.

That’s why I founded AMK Nonprofit Coaching.

I created this practice to be a trusted resource for nonprofit professionals - a place to gain clarity, create structure, and feel supported as you work.  Whether you need to build a stronger board, streamline operations or develop a sustainable fundraising strategy, I’m here to help you make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.

But every challenge has shaped the approach I take today: one built on empathy, clarity, and do-able steps forward.

I believe in guiding good people through practical strategies that actually work — because I’ve been in their shoes, and I know what makes the difference.
