What in the world is “the reviewer’s lens”?

Periodically you might hear grant writing gurus share how important it is to consider “the grant reviewer’s lens” to write a successful grant application. But how do you do that when you don’t know who is reviewing your grant? How do you get inside the head of an unidentified or anonymous person?

Not an easy feat? Never fear. Ann is here.

I recently arranged for three grant reviewers to provide a bonus session for members of The Confident Grant Writer learning cohort. For an hour we facilitated a conversation where we asked questions that you might want to ask. “What makes a successful grant application?” “What is the biggest mistake a grant writer can make?” “If you had one piece of advice, what would it be?”

The three grant reviewers came from different perspectives - - private foundation, higher education / scientific research, corporate foundation - - and yet their responses coalesced into a thread of great advice that I’ve put together into the Top Five Tips from Grant Reviewers.

This video blog is the first in a series of five tips that I’ll be posting over the next few months. If you don’t want to wait for it to be posted here - - and you want to get my FREE list of grant resources - - register HERE.

And if you want to know more about being a member of The Confident Grant Writer learning cohort, check it out here. I’ve revamped the pricing structure to make it even more accessible, so you can get the funding you need.
